A spacious, clean house. The bed was very comfortable.

Stayed in early March 2025. J and G provided a very comfortable home-like feel in this beautiful location overlooking the beach, which is about a 10-minute walk down the hill. The views out the back window to the east are beautiful, and the central living area is very usable, with a deck attached and plenty of windows to soak in the views. The location is within a 30-minute drive of central Christchurch. We should have stayed longer than two days here!

Perfect location for beach and walkable restaurants. Everything was as described. Great patio to hang out.

Great spot, nice place to stay. Comfortable beds. Good view to the busy wharf over the road. Boats/tractors start early in the morning.

We stayed here for the Coast to Coast - it was perfect! Such a great location, beach was just over the road and loads of room. Kerry was great to communicate with & went over and above as she posted something we had left behind - Will definitely be back next year! Thank you!

Great location and over 8 days the place felt like home with the outside deck area providing great flow from inside to the outside. The inside was clean and Ann provided very quick response to help get the WiFi running again after it stopped. Fun location to host friends and family. Would recommend and will stay again.

Worth every penny. It was a beautiful apartment. Comfortable beds. Plenty of amenities and absolutely pristine. Would stay there again. Host was attentive fantastic knowledge sent us a message with loads of choices of things to do before we got there and we used this to plan the trip. Gave us great tips on where to eat and cannot thank them enough. Five star.

Enjoyed our stay at Akaroa for one night. Apartment was 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchen and dining area are smallish but met our needs, reasonable sized lounge with view of water which was lovely to have . Off street parking which was great. Easy walk to restaurants, cafes and main wharf where boat trips leave from. Nice place to stay in Akaroa.

The place is exactly like the pictures. super cozy. it has a beautiful view. Close to everything. I had a great night. It was a pity that the swimming competition was canceled and the place is no longer being used. Thank you.

overall a great stay. the flat was as expected, fully functional and good equipped. access to the beach was nice, especially to observe the early sunrise. it's outside of New Brighton, to shops and bars it would be a 6+km walk (a bit long). there is a bus stop in front of the house which brings you to New Brighton in 10-15 min and into the city (bus interchange) in 40-45 minutes. with a car you probably would be better off. but it was absolutely OK without. the host Robert is a very nice guy. we had some good chats.

Every evening sunset and morning sunrise took our breath away! 😊 Pristine clean charming home, with comfy beds, elaborate kitchen and much more met all of our needs. Do need to drive short distances to delish restaurants in Sumner beach area and Christchurch, but, so worth it! One almost wants to spend all your time at this lovely home! Thanks again for a vacation memory that will never be forgotten! All the best always!

We absolutely loved our stay at this house in Hokitika! The location couldn’t be more perfect — just a short walk to the beach, great restaurants, local art studios, and pounamu stores. It was so nice to be able to explore town without ever needing to drive. The house itself was beautiful, spacious, and immaculately clean. It was also very quiet and peaceful, making it easy to relax. One of the coolest parts was seeing how the hosts thoughtfully renovated the property using recycled and repurposed materials — such a creative and sustainable approach! It really gave the place a unique charm and character. Plus, their art studio is right next door, and we had a great time walking over to check it out. Being able to park right in front of the house was also super convenient. Truly, we didn’t want to leave — this was one of our favorite stays on our trip. Highly recommend!

Our stay at view with a room was stellar! Shirley is an extremely thoughtful host. She has everything you could possibly think to need with some very thoughtful touches such as freshly laid eggs that were left for us. The accommodation was impeccably clean and so well thought out. Modern bathroom, nice lighting. Beautiful views in a peaceful and serene setting. We walked at low tide to see the starfish, what a fun adventure! Shirley has a tide chart printed so you can time it just right. We loved our time at view with a room and highly highly recommend staying here. Thank you again Shirley!

A comfortable, clean little house with two bedrooms and a kitchen. Peaceful and well located for exploring the Kaikoura area.

We absolutely loved our stay at Christine's place. We had very wet weather both days but Kaikoura is utterly charming. Christine's place is light and airy, walkable to the seal colony and a hop and a skip from the old whale station. The views are fabulous even in awful weather and on our last morning when the sun shone they were spectacular. Its also quiet and peaceful at night. Christine was the perfect host and we would most definitely stay here again if we ever return.

This house exceeds expectations It is so wonderful we can’t wait to go back!!!
