This is my fourth consecutive winter staying at Jen & Caroline's place in Halcottsville. I love the cozy house, especially the wood burning stove and the eclectic record collection (the beautiful old record player is a bit temperamental, but that and some of the other quirks of this old house only add to its charm). The house is clean and thoughtfully furnished/decorated. The hosts are friendly, responsive, and helpful. The house is not secluded but is conveniently located just off route 30, less than 10 minutes from Roxbury and about about halfway between Plattekill and Belleayre ski resorts, right across the street from a pretty river and lake, in a quaint little hamlet. This house is my happy place, and I hope to keep coming back!

Just spent a beatiful 3 day weekend at adams place. Gorgeous home and surrounding property was just what we needed.On checked in day adam emailed me and said house was available anytime we want to arrive. This was a nice gesture and we did arrived early. We hope to book again next year for our yearly getaway in the mountains in November.

Great host and place all around! Kim was very responsive before, during, and after the trip. The amenities were great and location was close by Plattekill. She recommended ahead of time to bring an AWD vehicle as her driveway is on an incline. I’d recommend this stay.

Asa's house is beautiful and comfortable, a great home base for skiing at Belleayre for a long weekend. There's lots of space, the beds are comfortable, the house well heated, and the gorgeous setting quiet and private. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped for cooking, and the extensive library was a fun bonus. When it snowed, making getting up the driveway tricky in our rental car, Asa was very responsive and had the driveway plowed as quickly as possible, much appreciated. I highly recommend this lovely home, would stay here again any time.

Great space for friends or family - nice open plan around the kitchen, leading out to a deck with a hot tub! The rooms are all lovely and clean, many have their own bathrooms. We had such a pleasant, peaceful stay !

We loved the property. It was beautiful and private. We enjoyed the fire pit and had a campfire each night! We saw deer and wild turkeys on the property. The house was perfect for the 10 of us. The host was so helpful and responded to our questions quickly. Thank you for sharing your house with our family!

The cabin was beautiful, it looks exactly as it does in the pictures!!! The hosts were excellent and provided us all the information needed to have a perfect stay! The cabin has everything you could need + some! I would highly recommend to friends and family I have zero complaints!

Our family had a great time staying here for a holiday gathering. The living area is very spacious, everything was spotless, and the backyard was a hit for the dogs to run around. We look forward to returning in the future!
