This place is a must. it is a beautiful place, location, host and staff at hand at a drop of a hat. This was my first time in South Africa and everything could not have gone any better. Patricia the host and her husband were so helpful with excellent communication throughout our time from booking until we had finished. They gave excellent recommendations and even assisted us in booking amazing golf courses (the best we had ever played and we were a bunch of experienced golfers. They truly were the best hosts so much so we met them a few times throughout our stay. Honestly, we all had the best time ever and that was down to our tremendous hosts, place and location. You will not be disappointed if you book this place. We will all be back and hope to stay in touch for you to come and play some golf in our country. Thank you so much. Fantastic holiday and never to be forgotten memories for our first time in your amazing country. You were the best. Best wishes always top hosts.

The place is beautiful, but you gonna freeze to death there, no heaters, and they got electricity problem, you gonna stay in darkness for straight 6hrs, the back up batteries doesn’t work, the fact that the full house has only 2 bathroom was a huge turn off, rooms are not ensuit… Host is very rude, they don’t care about guest, she kicks you out when it’s 10 on the day of check out.. we won’t go back there

Best Airbnb or any place for that matter we have ever stayed. Words and pictures can't describe how amazing the house, view and tranquility is. From the glass doors and windows that open up and disappear into the walls to the decor and amenities... nothing was missed. The road to the place is mentioned, Warren will meet you and guide you through the gates. The path is steep, and windy, only 4km, and is paved with 2 track pavers, passable with any car, 4WD is not necessary. It was one of the most fun parts. As for Warren, salt of the earth... I heard how warm and welcoming the Eastern Cape people are, Warren is so welcoming, friend for life kind of guy! If you stay for anything less than 3 days you will be very disappointed. 5 Star all the way. Thank you for sharing your little slice of paradise.

The location right on the beach is absolutely fantastic, to hear the sound of the waves at night is magical. Martin is an excellent host.

Our principle contact was Jonathan who couldn’t have done more for us, a superb host who lives nearby. The property is well equipped throughout and located in a safe residential area just 200m from the estuary. We spent 24 wonderful days there. One point is that internal access to the upstairs is by a rather narrow spiral staircase which might not suit all ie elderly but for others ie children a point of excitement. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending both the property and hosts as a wonderful home to relax and unwind in. We’ve only found one other to match!

It was the perfect 5 day breakaway for our family of four. The house felt like a home away from home. Everything you want is there and available. Eldest son could play golf each day. Losts of walkways to explore. We enjoyed the restaurant at the main clubhouse. George, the onsite caretaker was very friendly and helpful. Golf carts to rent at the house is a great plus. Heralds Bay beach a short drive away. Would love to stay here again.

Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip to SA due to a medical emergency. We did have friends who stayed at Firewings and absolutely loved it. My son and his family also stayed there and also thought it was fabulous. The reports were so good that we plan to stay at Firewings next February (health permitting). John is a fabulous host. Nothing was too much trouble considering our change of plans and his response time was always swift. I could not recommend John or Firewings more highly.

The place was perfect for me and my family, the securities at the entrance gate were great. The area was 👌 Lufuno was just fantastic🙏🏽

This is one of favorite Air BnBs. Communication was smooth from the start. Kelvin is a gracious host - polite, friendly and respectful at all times. The house is equipped for a comfortable stay and even has beach chairs and an umbrella to use during the stay. Thank you for making this a memorable visit. We would’ve loved to stay longer!

Highly recommended stay, good value!

Our family of 7 adults stayed here for the weekend, and it was wonderful! We loved the beautiful view from the balconies, and appreciated each room’s ansuite bathroom - really a nice comfy and quiet setting, and we felt right at home. Because of the cold and rainy weather we had to use the portable space heaters all the time while inside (but we are used to central heating in the USA.) Since there is no clothes dryer, some of our clothes took 2 days to dry - probably because of the weather at the time.) Glad we washed a few loads as soon as we checked in on Friday. We enjoyed building a puzzle at night, (found on top of the fridge) but unfortunately we were not able to finish it, so next time we should stay longer and relax more!

Wir waren zu dritt und alle gleichermaßen begeistert – von der Lage, dem Haus, einfach allem! Sollten wir noch einmal nach Mossel Bay kommen, würden wir auf jeden Fall wieder bei Sarah und Cee buchen!

The home was spotless, clutter free, comfy beds and the garden very well kept and peaceful. Good pizzas in walking distance and beach too.

It was a very nice House, nice view to the sea, Lindie was a great Host, she was very nice, always reachable for us, perfect stay in a wonderful house and location

We had a wonderful stay. The house is perfectly situated with a truly amazing view of the bay. The house was clean and has been set up with quality appliances and utensils etc. We loved the fact that it was only 40metres to the gate (coded) which leads onto the ocean and we spent hours snorkling in amazing conditions. It allows for great braaing and simply sitting taking in the view and its also well protected from wind. We saw loads of dolphins daily. Wendy was a very good host throughout.

We have stayed in Groot Bacrivier before but this is the best Airbnb we have been to . We loved the view , security and the internal layout which was spacious and very calming . Probably one of the best Airbnb we have stayed in . Thoroughly recommended !!

We had a lovely stay at Peet’s place! The house is beautiful and really has everything you could need. View of the beach is stunning especially for sunset on the balcony. Couldn’t recommend more!

Was a wonderful cottage on the river banks. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Elsjés Unit is an awesome unit,lots of beds nice country decor feel,awesome hosts,very safe and quiet, so close to shopping centre pharmacy's, garage,top butcher and Feul station,900m from main beach,whart more can you ask for, prices is affordable but you get more than you pay for,perfect getaway or family holiday,definitely coming back real soon.
