The cabin was a great little hideaway! We did lose power and have to leave early, but I suppose that's part of the risk of a cabin in winter.

We had the pleasure of staying at Rebecca's Airbnb, and I have to say, it exceeded all of our expectations! We needed to make some last-minute adjustments to our plans, and Rebecca was incredibly accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure everything worked out perfectly. Her communication was seamless, and she truly made us feel like her top priority. The space was not only beautiful but also thoughtfully arranged. She really helped turn our stay into a memorable experience, and we can't thank her enough for making it all come together so smoothly. If you’re looking for a place with exceptional customer service and a host who genuinely cares about your experience, look no further. We’ll definitely be back!

This was our third stay with David and Darlene. We love the Green Cove Schoolhouse. This was such a heartbreaking experience. We were in Damascus for the Yeti 100 Endurance Run, but Hurricane Helene came to town. Unfortunately for me, that meant 9 months of training down the drain, but much worse for the residents of southwest Virginia, it meant destruction on a level that locals told us they'd never seen. The town of Damascus was completely underwater with many structures destroyed. Trees and powerlines were down everywhere, and for a day or so, no one could get on or off the mountain. We were fortunate at Green Cove Schoolhouse that David and Darlene have a generator, so we never lost power. David and Darlene were great, making sure we were comfortable and letting us know what they knew about the situation. My heart aches for the people of Damascus and southwest Virginia. We love Green Cove Schoolhouse and we love the area and we can't wait to get back.

We loved this place. We was looking for a secluded, private, nice place. It was all of these. The cabin was beautiful, internet/tv/ bose music box...everything worked really well. The house was very clean. We had everything we needed. The host was very friendly and accommodating. We will certainly make a plan to go back! We will also recommend it to friends and family.

You will NOT regret staying at this beautiful cabin. I cannot recommend staying here enough, as the cabin was cozy and has everything you could need. We loved being able to use the wood stove and the fire pit outside was perfect (the VIEWS). Grayson Highlands is so close and we enjoyed the hiking and seeing all the ponies! Jon was highly communicative and we had a fantastic experience. We will definitely stay again in the future!

Very cozy home that comfortably fit our family of six! Close distance to many restaurants and about a ten minute drive to the interstate.

Our stay in Galax was great. The property was very private which was a lovely change of pace coming from central FL. The property was also within around 13 mins of town so it was easy to run out and get groceries. I was able to have family over from in the area for dinners and there was enough room for everyone. There was plenty of room to walk our dogs and they loved the horses. The sunrise and sunset with the Mountain view was 10 out of 10.The host was great and extremely responsive. He reached out to give us a heads up about the cold weather and anytime we needed anything during our stay, he responded quickly. We will definitely rent this property in the future.
