Hawaii County: soggiorni in cottage

We were on a family trip to the volcano park. Ari’s property has everything we needed to make this trip an enjoyable experience. The convenient location is such a plus because it only takes 10 minutes of drive from the entrance of the volcano park to the house, and you definitely don’t want to drive too far after a whole day of hiking. Also, it’s very quiet and safe in this neighborhood, ensuring us a good sleep every night. We look forward to coming back to Sri’s house next time visiting the area again!

This home was just lovely. We had everything we needed during our stay. Great communication with owners. They had lots of great suggestions on this is to do and local stuff! Mahalo!

Our stay at The Maid’s Quarters was absolutely charming. Every detail of the home, from its thoughtful decor to its cozy atmosphere, made for an incredibly relaxing experience. It felt like a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu life. The space was beautifully maintained, and the charming touches throughout the home added so much warmth and character. We left feeling refreshed and would highly recommend The Maid’s Quarters to anyone looking for a peaceful and delightful getaway.

I really really like this pineapple house! Everything in it has pineapple element making it very stylish! Shannon and her team are soooooo nice! I requested an early check in and Shannon just helped me checking the probability. Even though their maintenance has to come after my early check in, Shannon still allowed me. Everything in the house is so prepared! Babysitting things, books, board games, towels and even slippers! Kitchen wares are so clean. Everything is well protected and maintained so seems new. They really have everything in kitchen, like salt, pepper, catchup, mustard, oil, zip lock, everything! I got hurt in beach park. The first aid kit in the house helped me a lot! Tea bag and coffee beans in the kitchen are good too! There are three dehumidifiers in the house and they really work! Although they may make noise at midnight, I believe they are really necessary. The heaters are lovely too! If I got a chance to come back again, I’ll definitely choose to stay here a

My husband & I enjoyed our stay here. Everything about our stay was PERFECT! The aesthetic, the surrounding, the atmosphere and vibe was outstanding! We only stayed for a night but waking up to the view of a rainforest was beautiful. The hot tub was amazing especially when used at night because the air was crisp and cold. Very relaxing and peaceful. 10/10 recommend to anyone who considers staying here. We will be back!

Gorgeous place to stay! Very conveniently located to VNP. The grounds were beautiful. The tub was a perk after days of hiking in the park. If we’re ever back in Volcano, we will absolutely book again. Thanks to the wonderful staff who were very helpful!

Loved the art and the modern design! The house was immaculate, very quiet and full of light. The one thing I would note is that the mattresses may need to be replaced, and a water filter needs to be provided to remove the chlorine taste from the tap water. Thanks!

Had a great time in this private and peaceful accommodation. Ashley was very friendly and responsive and provided us with privacy and easy communication. This place provides a unique and relaxing glamping style stay. It rained very hard the first night and sounded beautiful as it’s an open air room but still felt very secure and everything stayed dry. After the rain the coqui were plentiful so it may not be for everyone but I found it to be soothing and peaceful. My only recommendation is maybe to hang a mirror in the shower room or in the kitchen/bathroom area. Mahalo for a great stay!

I loved the landscaping and proximity to everything. you are somehow in the center of it all and away from everything at once. the grounds of the property are lush and large... absolutely fantastic for letting small kids spend their energy in a safe way. nobody felt cooped in. fantastic place for kids. jason was very prompt when I was having trouble with the keypad with a car sick child. it was my error, but his super fast responses went a long way to start our vacation right. his place was more than ample to host my family of 5 and we were all comfortable. He provided plenty of linens/towels/toiletries which was also very helpful oh.. and we loved his shower. great water pressure!! unexpected major perk. I'd definitely stay here again while visiting hilo. thank you so much

Kelly’s place was perfect. Quiet, private and lots of covered outdoor spaces with lots of room. The home was clean and had everything we needed. She even had a nice notebook filled with things to know and do around the area. We enjoyed our daily walks to the ocean and met lots of people enjoying the area. I would recommend Kelly’s place for anyone who wants to enjoy all that the East side of the Big Island has to offer.

Autumn was so amazing and pleasant to use during our whole AirBnB reservation. We ended up not staying so to several recommendations about the area. When we informed Autumn she went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and wanted to provide us reassurance that her home was safe. We still need up getting an other AirbNb, but just to make use feel comfortable!! This home is very cute and looks just like the pictures and Autumn makes sure you feel as part of her Ohana!

Aunty Janet & Uncle Paul showed plenty aloha to my brother and I. Since we first booked our trip two months in advance, Uncle Paul was quick with responding to our questions/concerns. We were grateful to find a peaceful escape from the busy concrete jungle. Mahalo Nui Loa and A Hui Hou!

This was one of many stays I have had with jade at the MLT. it’s a great place to unwind and recenter. Always such a great time over on kalapana side and the temple is a great place to enjoy that side of the island. My friend forgot her jacket with her credit card and ID in it and Jade was very helpful and responsive. Very easy to get the jacket back with everything still in it!

The cottage is spectacular, exactly the kind of private rainforest bungalow we were looking for. The photos don’t really capture how magical the space is. Joe was helpful and kind and we always felt right at home. The bed was comfortable, linens soft, and the chairs on the porch are perfectly designed for curling up with a book or just listening to the flora and fauna. If you enjoy the symphony of Mother Nature, this is your front row seat to her endless serenade.

You can conclude your search for a relaxing getaway. Staying at Bananarama Cottage was a delightful experience. Nestled on a charming banana farm, the cottage provided a peaceful retreat. The interior was bright and airy, with plenty of windows inviting in the tropical breeze and offering ocean views from the bedroom, kitchen, and living room. The large screened-in lanai, complete with a dining table and loveseat, became our favorite spot for morning coffee and evening relaxation. The king-sized bed ensured restful nights, and the outdoor shower added a touch of island authenticity. The cottage was well-stocked with essentials, including towels, pots, pans, a full kitchen with a stove, and even a blender. Its proximity to the unique Kehena black sand beach, just a mile away, made daily excursions convenient. Rob & Bob were attentive hosts, ensuring our stay was comfortable. For anyone seeking a genuine Hawaiian getaway away from the usual tourist spots, Bananarama Cottage is a gem.

Jenn’s place was just fabulous. Top notch all around. The spacious lanai and beautiful broad views are hard to beat. We can’t wait to return as this is now one of our favorite Airbnb’s thus far. And Jenn was super nice and extremely helpful. Couldn’t recommend it more highly!

My stay at the “bird house” was a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE, and the host (Eileen) was extremely responsive and very kind and helpful!! (Thank you, Eileen for EVERYTHING!!) ~When I first arrived at the property, I did have a little trouble with the door code, but I quickly figured it out after re-reading the host’s instructions!!! ~The entire house is beautifully decorated with all kinds of bird figurines, paintings, and quaint bird cages~ There is even a lighted large bird diarama which is beautiful… AND loved the big, happy, smiling parrot welcoming visitors to the fun bathroom!!! ~The master bedroom is on the 2nd floor and is beautifully decorated with soft and luxurious bedding/pillows. At night, you can hear the wind in the trees by opening the upgraded screened-in windows~ I loved this place, and the bonus was Madame Pele’s incredible and powerful dancing during my stay!!! Huge Mahalos!!

Linda's jungle treehouse was just the type of Hawaii nature immersion I was hoping for. The jungle sounds at night are epic, and there is very little to no light pollution, making for great sleeping and also stargazing when it's clear! I also loved relaxing on the daybed in the screeened-in lanai after some long exhausting days out and about. Linda was so nice and very easy to communicate with. She offered a ton of suggestions on local places to check out and followed up to make sure I had everything I needed. Would definitely return!

We enjoyed our stay at Loleina's place in Keaau. The home is located behind her home, so it was nice to know she was close by if we needed anything, but still very private. It is on a peaceful, quiet road with beautiful plants and surroundings. Sitting on the screened in porch with a book was the best part. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of space, we even were able to host some friends from Maui on the pull out couch for one night. The kitchen was well equipped. Do note that the location is about 30 minutes from Hilo, so depending on what your plans are you might do quite a bit of back and forth. There are sites to see nearby such as paradise cliffs and the Puna trail to Haena beach. Loleina also keeps a book of recommendations from other guests as well as travel guides and brochures. The house is on stilts so entry is up a set of stairs which is something to note for accessibility. Overall we had a great, relaxing stay!

Great location on a coffee farm, close to lots of outdoor activities and an easy drive into Kona.

What a wonderful piece of paradise! We have stayed in multiple different rental houses in Kona over the years, and this was our favorite. We stayed for 2 weeks and had everything we needed. The driveway is steep and parking is a bit tight, but you get used to it, and the beauty and serenity of the place is worth it. Thank you, Priscilla, for everything! We’ll be back!
