Our stay was comfortable. The host was friendly and responsive. Cute homey touches and very clean.

Kevin’s place was simple and exactly what we needed for the weekend. There were thoughtful touches we appreciated.

Alyssa’s house far exceeded our expectations! We had a Thanksgiving celebration there with our 5 grown kids, two in-laws, and 2 young grandkids. Nine of us stayed in the house, and it very comfortably accommodated us all. If you need a place to cook and actually spend time, I would not hesitate to suggest Alyssa’s place! Her kitchen is well stocked with everything you probably need as far as utensils, cookware, serving options, and basic spices, oils, etc. Alyssa is generous with towels, extra blankets, Kleenex, etc. She responded very quickly to the few questions we had. It snowed overnight while we were there, and Alyssa immediately was out shoveling and salting. When we arrived on the first evening, the fireplace was lit and a beautiful goody basket was welcomed us. Thank you, Alyssa! We hope to return at some point!

Where do I start? I had surgery and would need assistance following the procedure. I had my mom come to town and needed to have one floor as she’s not able to use stairs well. This was the perfect place!! Everything is accessible and in one floor. My mother was comfortable and able to take care of me without having any issues. She loved the kitchen!! If she needed anything, she was able to find it! She constantly said she thought of EVERYTHING!! While thinking of my mom’s comfort, I too needed the ease of being able to move around without stairs. The 2nd bath right off the bedroom I was in was right on time!! There was plenty of space for company that came over to visit, plenty of space for flowers and cards, seating for dinner. Toys and games for my grandchildren….The list goes on!! 10 out of 10 highly recommend!!! Thanks Kimberly and Eric!! I couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax, heal, enjoy and appreciate with family and friends!!

We had a wonderful stay. The house was a great fit for our family during our visit to Lansing. The only thing was the train going past a few times during the night was loud and woke the babies, but after the first night we just used a sound machine to help with the disturbance. That did not affect our wonderful stay, just worth noting for future families visiting 😊

Home was exactly as advertised. Very quite area and beautiful surroundings Kelly was a great host, she met us upon arriving and walked us through the home, suggested local restaurants. Kelly is very personable and easy to approach, was responsive to a minor question we had Great experience would rent again

Peaceful neighborhood, clean and well-stocked accommodation with great communication. Would stay here again.

Had a lovely time in town for the Nordic Fire Festival in Charlotte. It was such a nice space with an adorable little kitchenette complete with bottled waters in the fridge, a well stocked coffee bar, and muffins! Plus the hot tub was an amazing little reprieve after being out in the cold all weekend for the festival. I had a great time here and definitely recommend it!

Our stay was great, apartment was clean, quiet and a great experience. Our host was great with communicating how the entry and parking worked. Will stay again!

This home was a wonderful place to stay while we explored the Lansing area. The hosts went over and above to make us feel welcome. The home and yard were lovely and clean. The directions were clear and concise. It was a blessing to be welcomed into this home!

We were in town for my Mothers funeral. We originally were staying at another Airbnb that wasn't able to extend our reservation. Rachel not only confirmed our new reservation within minutes, but also allowed us to go straight from check out at the other place to check in at her place without waiting around for several hours. She was also extremely helpful when we had an emergent situation with our dog, Dexter. The house is absolutely beautiful and even though you're only a few minutes outside of town it feels super secluded and private. Wonderful host, wonderful house.

This place was everything we needed!!! The location was perfect because it was so close to the Waterloo Hunt Club for our horse show. The inside is recently updated and has everything it listed, even a keurig! This home is on the water and give you assess to the dock for fishing, has a fire pit, beautiful patio and a great grill-eating area including a large picnic table. The 1.5 bathrooms was nice when we were all getting ready in the morning. It’s a quiet area so easy ins and outs. Just overall excellent and so comfortable! Will come back for sure when we have our next horse show!

This is the third time I've stayed and I've booked again for next year! I come into town for educational classes and this place is the perfect retreat outside of class times.

My sister and I had a peaceful long weekend at Fish Tales. It was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake. It was fun to take the kayaks out and just RELAX. The cottage was a short drive to the swim race location at Half Moon lake that we were visiting for. If you are looking for a peaceful spot with beautiful views this is for you,

We chose this cabin as our Christmas destination spot this year. Easily accommodated 5 adults and 5 kids under the age of 12, all of which were entertained by all the cabin has to offer. We’ve stayed in lots of cabins and this was our favorite! It was so gorgeous, private and peaceful. Annette was so responsive and hosted us wonderfully making sure a tree was up and there were Christmas decorations out and about to make it extra festive. Can’t say enough great things about our stay.

Could not have been happier with our stay here. Anne has created and maintained a very special feeling of place in this cottage. We enjoyed every minute of being here, even jumped in the lake! The cottage intuitively resets your way of living, if even for just a few days. Life slows down…sleep is deeper. The crickets louder. There is a grocery store less than ten minutes away (and Instacart can get you a Target run as well) The kitchen is so nice to cook in, and believe me, you won’t want to leave this place for dinner. We cancelled reservations because we wanted to stay in more. Best sink ever for dishes. Quiet, Simple, Morning and Afternoon Light, Long Stares at the water. Sounds of nature. Home cooked meals. Best dirt roads with wildflowers nearby if you need just one other thing to do. If your life needs this, do that here in this cottage.

Think Thoreau's Walden or Leopold's Shack. It is private and full of wildlife. Perfect place to relax and check out of modern life for a bit.
