The Hemlock retreat was exactly what we needed for parents of two little kids to get away for a few days. The house was absolutely spotless! The kitchen and dining area was airy and bright with beautiful views of the woods. We watched deer, turkey and woodpeckers during meals. We enjoyed hiking along the creek and through the forest; it's clear that the owners love this property and put a lot of effort into the forest management. The sauna, fireplace and large tub were so nice for warming up. They even provided firewood. The owners house is nearby, but all the main windows face the other direction towards the woods, so we felt like we had lots of privacy. The bed is on the softer side but we slept comfortably. The smart tv was great, and I loved having access to the Sonos speaker in the kitchen so I could play music while cooking. Overall we would definitely come back; it was the perfect stay despite the cold march weather so I imagine it's beautiful in every season. Thank you!

Perfect little house. Great park located across the street. We enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. Nice home, a lot of character. I was in Pigeon for work and found it to be quiet at night and I was able to get a great nights sleep for work.

Simple, basic accommodation, very comfortable. Tastefully decorated. Nicely equipped kitchen. Good heating system (it dipped down to below 10° while we were there). It snowed during the week we were there, and the owner plowed the driveway.

Lisa was a wonderful host and even met us at the door when we arrived to make sure that we were settled in okay and knew how everything worked. She checked in throughout the stay just to make sure everything was okay which I appreciated. I would gladly stay here again as it was the perfect location for when we come to visit Lapeer. The place was very clean and lovely and the appliances were easy to use. Thanks again Lisa!

My stay at Farid's charming place was absolutely great! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The location is perfect. Both private and easy access to different spots. The place is exactly what we had hoped for. Super clean and tidy. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It feels like home away from home. Great outdoor space! If you are looking to enjoy your coffee in the am, or having a BBQ in the evening. Farid is very easy to communicate with. He went above and beyond to make things seamless and ensure that our stay is comfortable. We highly recommend staying at Farid's place! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I had an amazing stay at Pam’s place! The home was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed. The location was perfect, and Pm & Ashley was super helpful, making sure I had all the info I needed for a great stay. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay! I Highly recommend it!

My brothers and I with our significant others always get together for a weekend at the Renaissance Festival in Holly and this was literally the perfect cabin for us - close enough that we could go to and from if we needed a break during our long days at the Faire and peaceful enough at night to come back to and relax or play games like we love to do together. Plenty of space that we could all have beds and felt cozy. The lake is beautiful this time of year and even was warm enough that we could have swam after if we wanted or weren’t warn out from our long days. Parking was easy to figure out even with four vehicles. Host was responsive and super helpful and even allowed us to check in early when we realized that we would rather all drive in together last second. (Whoops! Poor planning on my part.) There was even provided water which was lovely as well, and a really nice touch when it comes to well water! Thank you so much and we will be back!

I really enjoyed my stay here! The host was very responsive and took care of everything. The place is beautiful! The cabin was a little tight for me and my two dogs but we managed and I would definitely go back!

Our family truly enjoyed staying in the cabin and catching up with family! It was very clean and well kept! We will be back for other family events in the future!

Beautiful cabin! (A little jealous I don't own it!) We were there for an ice fishing weekend, had a great time and the cabin was perfect for relaxing after a long day on the ice. Very cozy!

The Lodge was a great place for our family to stay for a family wedding! We had a great experience, very close to lovely Clarkston! Dan was really great. The lodge was a great place fore us to gather and relax for this fun event. Hanging out during the day as well after events. It was great!

The cottages are quaint & cozy. # 4 has a spectacular view of Lake Huron from inside, as well as, from the private deck. It is a perfect place for a weekend get-a-way to relax & refresh.

This was my first time renting a "cabin in the woods" and it is a living arrangement I have been fascinated with for some time. As a city boy I was initially a bit freaked out by some of the noises and the darkness at night, not something I am used to. But once I worked out what the noises where, which is mostly peacocks calling in the woods, I relaxed a lot. I was in the area for business as I have multiple customers within 30-45 minutes of Ortonville, so it made a real change to be able to have some space, privacy and more facilities than the normal, boring and uninspiring hotels I stay at in Livonia! The cabin is easy to find, the facilities are as described and Annalisa was the perfect host, providing lots of local information on places to visit and where to eat. I will not hesitate to stay again!
