Three days went like a dream! The best host in the cabin was definitely Leo, the dog. It seemed like we were his family. The cabin is just like a beautiful painting, and so do the surrounding pine forest and the hills. It’s cozy, comfortable, soul healing. The evenings we spent sitting near the fireplace will remain in our fond memories forever. Will definitely try to visit the cabin again and again in the coming years. Much love to Leo, we miss you, baby doggo ❤️

It was a beautiful location. Pretty cute apartment with two bedrooms. Surroundings are pleasant, small market within walking distance. Great stay on budget.

Good place for a short stay. Everything looks like the pics, it was spick and span, heater and geyser are available, there is a restaurant opposite. The kitchen is well appointed. Only drawback for me was the height of the bedroom ceiling upstairs. The low ceiling made sitting up in bed impossible,also had to bend down just to get onto the upper level. Batista is very helpful and recommended a great driver as well.He was also helpful in making guide arrangements for Mawphlang sacred grove and the David Scott trail. Be aware that Mawphlang in general seems very cold compared to the rest of Meghalaya, in my experience, as we visited Shillong,Sohra,Shnongpdeng etc all of which were much warmer. It was 7 degrees at night in Mawphlang and we visited in March,which I think is summer for Meghalaya.We struggled with the cold and were thankful we were there only for a night.

The place turned out to be better than what we had imagined. We came on a public holiday and somehow we were the only ones around not just in the premises, but the entire valley. The place is a comfortable stay for 1-2 nights and was arguably the highlight of our 9-day Meghalaya trip, simply because of the location - living in a well-setup cabin in a forest, looking over a river, under stars at night and by the river side in the morning. Amit was very helpful throughout, even before we had made the booking and he helped me with answers about rest of my trip. I really wanted to stay for at least a night here and it was really worth it. Because of holiday, restaurants were closed but Amit helped us find a good place to get dinner before we arrived at the place. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for an offbeat stay away from the hotels and homestays. Come for the peace it has to offer. The place has been built with a lot of love and I hope future guests can keep it that way.

Wailad is a sweet young girl who is already a leader in every aspect! She’s curated this cute house with all amenities in heart of Jowai which is almost like the capital of west Jaintia hills. She was always available whenever we needed her. We had an extensive itinerary but we took a day break just to enjoy the bnb and Jowai town. Harsh and Wailad also helped us design quite a lot of our itinerary! We would recommend the stay to everyone and like to visit again. Best wishes to Wailad for future adventures :)

Excellent Stay! We had a wonderful time at Chynnalin's place! The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The neighborhood was peaceful and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Chynnalin was a great host, very responsive and accommodating. We appreciated the clear instructions and helpful recommendations.
