Shawnigan Lake: soggiorni in case sul lago

We had a wonderful time at Shawnigan Lake, staying in Todd's beautiful cottage! It was perfectly situated right on the lake, with a fantastic dock space perfect for swimming and other activities. We were close to the train trestle, a lovely walking/running trail, a restaurant with a picturesque lake view, and a corner store for quick purchases. Grocery stores were about 15-20 minute drive away. All in all it was an incredible place to vacation for an active family! Thank you so much Todd!

Sunny was very friendly and accommodating! The atmosphere was beautiful and peaceful, just what I needed for a couple days away.

Excellent location to explore from. House was perfect, very clean, modern and extremely well appointed. Great views would recommend anytime.

La maison de Phil & Steph est très bien située au bord du lac et exposé sud. Pour se baigner il suffit de descendre sur le ponton et ensuite on se prélasse au soleil sur un transat. Phil est hyper réactif et très sympa. Le logement est impeccable pour 6 personnes sans se gêner. On peut cuisiner il y a tout ce qu’il faut, et nous cuisions beaucoup, et il y a un supermarché bien fourni à 3 minutes à pied. La nuit est calme et le jour paisible. Nous recommandons sincèrement ce logement et y reviendrons avec plaisir.

There are very few Airbnb hosts like William who genuinely care about their guests experience and are willing to be accommodating when things don’t quite go to plan. The house and location are picture perfect but it’s the host that always makes it worth coming back which we definitely will!

Beautiful home, clean interior, comfortable beds, lots of little spots around the house to sit and take in the gorgeous view. We had an awesome time on the lake with the canoe and would definitely go back. Sherry nd Ross are welcoming and really good communicators. Thank you again for having us!!

We had a weekend on the lake at Scott’s! The place was cozy during the snowy weekend. Beautiful lakefront spot with incredible outdoor area that you can enjoy year round. The hot tub was great to relax in and look over the lake. Would absolutely come back here again!

We were all adults and it was a wonderful place to hang out and have a good time. Plenty of sleeping room and bathrooms. Well equipped kitchen. Lots of dining space and outside area for relaxing, playing games and hanging out. The main dock was great….perhaps a little more shade at the dock on those real hot and sunny days?

this place is so thoughtfully and beautifully designed & furnished. the views are incredible, even during a grey winter day. both beds are heavenly. though it's not targeted as an accessible home, we found it very comfortable for my mom who uses a walker. just one step at the entry threshold then easy to get around every space. primary & guest bathrooms both have walk in showers with small entry thresholds. be aware though that there are no handholds in either. i brought my dog and took full advantage of the bald mountain hike, which starts across the street and down the block! there were one or two little things we needed and Kory was very helpful & responsive. would love to come back again!

We really enjoyed our short getaway here! The view is stunning, and there are plenty of hiking trails nearby. The house itself is cozy and well-stocked with board games, and it also offers great opportunities for kayaking, relaxing by the fire pit, and unwinding in the hot tub, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Brooke’s suite was very cozy and clean. It looks even better than in photos provided. The lake view was breathtaking and patio was so comfortable for breakfast and dinner as well. Suite has all needed stuff for comfortable stay. The location is also convenient and very peaceful. Soundproofing was excellent. And on top of that Brooke was very helpful and responsive. We’ll come back again!

Our recent stay at this amazing house, hosted by the absolutely wonderful Gramma Rikki, was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The location was absolutely perfect. We enjoyed breathtaking views and easy access to all the island's treasures. Whether we wanted to explore the vibrant town, hike scenic trails, or simply relax and soak in the tranquility, everything was conveniently within reach. But what truly made our experience exceptional was the incredible hospitality of Gramma Rikki. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their genuine kindness and attentiveness made us feel like valued guests, and we truly appreciated their warm and welcoming spirit. The house itself was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It was the perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring the island. Great location on the lake. Can walk into Lake Cowichan in 10 minutes and public boat launch is 5 minute walk away. The house is well stocked and had everything we needed. We were 2 families (8 total) each with 2 older teenage boys and felt like there was ample space and sleeping. Lake is across the street, and there is a beach and good sized dock - one in our party had a broken ankle and wasn't able to walk the path to the water but we were able to ferry him over on the boat from the public dock. Dawn is quick to respond and available for any issues. We will be back!

I wish we could have stayed longer at Suzanne's place, it was a home away from home! The bed was comfy, there were books and games, the kitchen was stocked with tasty treats, and there was so much art, love, and attention to detail around the house. And I absolutely loved the shoe dryer, what a great thing to have :D I hope we can come back to explore more of the lake and if we do, I would love to stay here again.

What a slice of heaven! It was even better than the pictures! We thoroughly enjoyed 2 nights here (wishing it was longer) with our 18&21 year olds. There was plenty of space for us to gather as a fam or find a chill out spot alone. Allison and Sean were great with communication and giving advice for good hiking trails too! We would love to one day return!

Caitlin was so gracious and helped us out last minute. Her home is so cute and comfortable, my group of 8 had plenty of room to sleep and hang out. The location is great and the home was quiet during the night. Would definitely recommend! We wished we stayed longer.

I had a great stay; the home is new construction maybe a few weeks old. It is very modern with fantastic views of the lake and mountain. Everything was clean and well supplied. Even saw some elk at the entrance to the neighborhood. Overall, a very nice experience.

Ich habe hier eine Nacht nach einem Aufenthalt in Victoria verbracht. Die Unterkunft befindet sich auf einem Hügel in einer schönen ruhigen Wohnsiedlung. Die Kommunikation mit Danielle im Vorfeld war einwandfrei. Checkin in die Wohnung war sehr einfach. Die Wohnung an sich ist sehr charmant, super ausgestattet und bietet all das was man benötigt. Ich hab mich hier direkt sehr wohl gefühlt. Ich kann die Unterkunft jedem weiterempfehlen, der in der Nähe von Victoria eine eine Nacht verbringen möchte. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder :)

This place is amazing! It offers a beautiful view of the lake and easy access. Although I didn’t have a sunny day during my stay, I can imagine it being perfect in the summer. The hosts, Amy and Patrick, were incredibly supportive and always available. I highly recommend this place and hope to return on another occasion!

We booked Carole's house for a four-night family trip. Our circumstances changed on short notice and Carole was very helpful adding a few extra days for us on short notice. The place was nicer than the listing. The waterfront was like a postcard. Carole's kindness and support were oustanding. Great house, great host, great choice. We'll be back.

We stayed here for a long weekend to experience some of the holiday magic of Victoria with the kids. It's an easy 20 min drive into town. The trailhead for a walk around elk/ beaver lake is also 20 meters from the door, which our dog loved! The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Would recommend!

Disfrutamos mucho la casa de Sue y Krista !!! Ya que aparte de ser muy amplia , es muy bonita; Krista siempre se mostró muy atenta y hospitalaria con nosotros, también fue muy accesible con los horarios y la comunicación bastante efectiva (tanto al responder los mensajes como de manera presencial); siempre tuvo mucha iniciativa para apoyarnos en cualquier inconveniente que tuviéramos incluso fuera de lo que ofrecía el alojamiento... Los paisajes y las vistas eran maravillosas desde cualquier ventana de la casa. Recomiendo ampliamente la estancia en ese lugar, ya que te encontrarás con excelentes anfitriones y una granja/casa hermosa ❤️
