I’m excited to welcome you to Sorvetiño, my ice cream shop in the iconic Copacabana neighborhood, where I’ll be bringing back the distinct flavors of our “Love Letter to Rio” Collection for this experience. • We’ll begin with a blind taste test of four unique carioca ice cream flavors, each inspired by a classic beverage from the city: mate with lemon, guaravita, caipirinha, and passionfruit batida. • After taking your guesses for each sample, I’ll reveal the flavors, and we’ll enjoy shots of the original drinks that inspired the frozen treats. Guests under 18 can participate, and instead of the alcoholic flavors, they will receive an extra portion of the two non-alcoholic options. At the end of the experience, you’ll choose your favorite flavor to take home with you, along with a Sorvetiño sticker and poster.

Colombia’s Pacific coastal region has its own distinctive cuisine and culinary heritage. Part of that heritage is viche, a spirit distilled from sugarcane. Discover this produce through a viche tasting and some snacks. • Hear the story of viche, its origins, and its cultural importance in coastal Colombian communities. • Taste viche prepared in several ways alongside dishes such as tuna crudo marinated in curuba (passiflora) and whitefish with cauliflower purée in a smoked coconut milk broth. • In addition to viche infused with botanicals, we’ll demonstrate how to make the well-known Viche Cítrico cocktail. You’ll leave with an enhanced sense of the flavors of viche and a regional cuisine unknown outside of Colombia. Note: Since this experience centers on alcoholic spirits, you must be aged 18 and up.

La Clase de Cocina Oaxaqueña Vegetariana, haremos un recorrido por un hermoso barrio tradicional de Oaxaca, te prestare un “chiquigüite y mandil” ocupado para ir al mercado tradicionalmente, haremos un recorrido por el barrio de la Merced, pasaremos pos las iglesias más bonitas y caminaremos por parques reguardados por bellos arboles, casas de cantera rosa, verde y amarilla, te mostraré parques bellos del barrio colonial y secretos de esta zona de la ciudad. A mitad de nuestro recorrido conoceremos unos productores de hortalizas y verduras orgánicas frescas de un pueblo cercano a la ciudad cultivado orgánicamente y cosechado por la mañana, posteriormente visitaremos a algunas productoras del mercado del barrio, probaremos algunos antojitos y compraremos algunos insumos para nuestra clase de cocina vegetariana oaxaqueña. Regresaremos a nuestro punto de inicio para comenzar la clase y brindar toda la información de nuestro menú, prepararemos todo fresco, un plato fuerte, una ensalada, agua y hasta un postre y todo cuidado por un fogón tradicional. In this experience, we will pick you up from your home* and take you to get to know the most important points of the city. We will begin immediately by visiting Christ the Redeemer (ticket included), to avoid queues and take the best photos; then the neighborhood of Santa Teresa, an artistic area with its exclusive tram and then the Selarón Staircase, one of Rio's most famous sights. From there we will go to the Metropolitan Cathedral, a unique building in downtown Rio. Afterwards, we visited Maracana Stadium from outside. We stop for lunch** * right after. After lunch we go to visit the Parque Lage. Parque Lage is a historic and cultural park located at the base of Corcovado Mountain in Rio de Janeiro. While it is an independent site with its own history and attractions, Parque Lage is part of the Tijuca National Park, a vast protected area that includes one of the world’s largest urban rainforests. At the end you have two options: we can take you back home or drop you off at Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf) (ticket not included), where you can take a cable car up to the top of this magnificent hill. *Pick up and drop off in some areas of Rio's south zone. As part of our experience, we will teach you how to prepare a main course from start to finish, using your own hands. Each person will have the opportunity to boil, fry, or grill their food, providing you with a unique culinary experience as you taste dishes that you may not have had the chance to prepare before. The class will be conducted in both English and Spanish, accompanied by background music that harmonizes and integrates what you are learning with the cultural and historical context of the dish. Podran probar las empanadas de flor de calabaza, tejate, pulque, mezcal, carnes, tamales, memelas, empanadas de amarillo, tacos de barbacoa y mucho más! Probaremos de lo que este de temporada, nos enfocamos en descubrir el mercado, pero si quisieran especificamente venir a comprar les recomiendo muchisimo quedarse al final en el area de artesanias con precios increibles! salir de ahi es muy facil. Realizaremos un recorrido entre la zona de frutas y verduras. Imaginate más de 20 hectareas de colores, aromas y mucho por comer :D Este es el mercado que necesitan conocer si quieren ver en su origen un mercado Oaxaqueño guiandote por oaxaqueños, no como otros tours que no son de aquí. El primer paso será mostrarte los ingredientes que puedes encontrar en los hogares oaxaqueños, una de las ventajas de nuestra experiencia es que contamos con un jardín con hierbas y chiles orgánicos. Elaboramos quesillo y queso fresco todos los días. Mi hijo Baldo compartirá su conocimiento acerca del mezcal, una cata en la cual podrás tomar degustar tanto como gustes, además de agua fresca, refrescos y jugos. Botanas? Claro que si, pero lo tienes que hacer al estilo oaxaqueño, lo que significa gusanos, chicatanas y chapulines. ¿Has escuchado algo sobre el metate y como se hacen las tortillas a mano? además de tortillas elaboraremos tetelas, memelas y tlayudas. Haremos diferentes salsas utilizando ingredientes de la temporada todo cocinado sobre comal, leña y brasas al carbón. El mole es un emblema de la cocina oaxaqueña y cocinaremos uno de los 7 moles utilizando el metate. No te puedes ir sin probar el mole negro, chocolate de agua, café de olla, nieves y un rico pastel. Todos participaran en los procesos, cortando, moliendo, elaborando salsas y por supuesto comiendo, recuerda cuando visitas una casa en Oaxaca tienes que venir con el estomago vacío.
